How to Set Up Trinacle on Your WordPress Store (5 Minutes, No Developer)
Install Trinacle on WordPress in 5 minutes: web push, cart recovery, flash-sale banners, exit-intent capture and AI product copy. Free modules, no account needed.
Get web push notifications, abandoned cart recovery, flash-sale banners, exit-intent email capture, back-in-stock emails, product FAQs, and AI product copy: all from one plugin. The free modules work the moment you activate. No account needed for those.
Ready in about 5 minutes.
What you need
- A WordPress site, version 5.8 or newer
- PHP 7.4 or newer (almost every host already runs this)
- WooCommerce installed (needed for the store features)
That is it. No FTP, no code edits, no developer.
Step 1: Download the plugin
Download Trinacle for WooCommerce. One click: you get a small zip file. Do not unzip it; WordPress installs it as-is.
Step 2: Install it
- Open your WordPress admin
- Go to Plugins → Add New
- Click Upload Plugin at the top
- Choose the zip file you downloaded
- Click Install Now, then Activate
You now have a Trinacle item in your admin menu.
Step 3: The free modules turn on
The free modules already work. From the Trinacle menu you can set up:
- Announcement bar: a flash-sale bar with a live countdown. Set your text, link, colors and end time; it removes itself when the sale ends
- Sales-proof popups: real recent orders shown to shoppers: “someone in Austin just bought this, 2 hours ago”
- Exit-intent popup: a one-time offer when a visitor is about to leave. Captured emails land in your WordPress admin with CSV export
- Back-in-stock emails: shoppers leave an email on a sold-out page and get notified automatically the second stock returns
- Product FAQs: questions on each product with a clean accordion for shoppers and FAQ schema for Google
No account. No key. They run on your site.
Step 4: Connect your Trinacle account
Web push and AI product copy need a connected account:
- Get your Connect Key from your Trinacle dashboard (Content → Push Notifications → Settings) or your onboarding email
- In WordPress, open Trinacle from the admin menu
- Paste the key. Click Connect
The branded opt-in card appears on your storefront within seconds.
Step 5: Watch push work
- Open your storefront in a normal browser window
- Wait two seconds: the opt-in card appears in the bottom corner
- Click Allow Notifications
You are now building a subscriber list with no forms and no email address required.
Step 6: Send your first push
From your Trinacle dashboard:
- Go to Content → Push Notifications
- Click New Push Campaign
- Write a title and body. Add an image and up to two buttons
- Pick your audience and click Send
It lands on subscribed devices instantly, even with no tabs open.
Step 7: Turn on the automations
From Push Notifications → Automations:
- Abandoned cart sequence: up to 4 timed reminders showing the exact product. Stops the moment the order lands
- Back-in-stock push: fires the second stock returns
- Price-drop alerts: fire when a watched product gets cheaper
- Order and shipping updates: transactional, with tracking
- Winback: one gentle nudge for shoppers quiet 45+ days
Set them once. They run themselves.
Step 8: Try AI product copy
- Open any product in WordPress
- Scroll to the Trinacle: AI Product Copy box
- Paste your current title and description
- Click Generate with AI
You get an improved title and a tighter description. Edit, then save as always.
Updates happen automatically
New versions show up right in your Plugins page, like every other plugin. Click update. Done: no re-downloading, no manual installs after the first one.
Troubleshooting
- “Connect Key was not recognized”: copy it again from the dashboard. Keys are a short string of letters and numbers with no spaces
- The opt-in card does not appear: check the Push module is switched on in the Trinacle menu, and that your browser has not blocked notifications for the site
- Prices did not change after a reprice: automation runs only when your agency turns it on; manual price changes need the Reprice tab
- No AI box on products: AI Product Copy needs a connected account. Connect first
What the free modules replace
Each module has a paid-app equivalent most stores are already paying for:
- Announcement bar and countdown: standalone bar apps, $10-$30/month
- Sales-proof popups: social proof apps, $10-$50/month
- Exit-intent capture: popup builder apps, $20-$60/month
- Back-in-stock emails: notify-me apps, $10-$30/month
- Product FAQs with schema: FAQ apps or manual schema work, $10-$20/month
That is a stack running $60-$190/month in subscriptions, included free because the plugins run on your own site instead of ours. The trade is deliberate: the free modules give your store a reason to install, the connected account is where the deeper work happens.
WooCommerce or Shopify?
Both work, different shapes:
- Shopify gets the full embedded app: campaigns, flows, attribution and stat cards inside the admin
- WordPress/WooCommerce gets the plugin above, plus the same dashboard when you connect: push, automations, AI copy, and reporting live at app.trinacle.com either way
If you run both (some stores do, one per market), connect each and manage both from the same login.
What it costs
The five local modules (bar, popups, exit-intent, back-in-stock email, FAQs) are free. Push is free for launch stores.
Your agency side: campaigns, automations and analytics in the Trinacle dashboard, from $315/month when you want the team running it. Compare the plans. Prefer the full walkthrough with screenshots? Read the WooCommerce setup page.
How Trinacle runs this for you
The free modules do the capture. Email, SMS with the paperwork handled, SEO scored 0-100, social and video are what the team runs once the campaigns start. See the WooCommerce setup page, the pricing and how it works.
Plans start at $315/mo, flat, no contracts.
The machinery is free. Pick a plan when you want the team running the campaigns.
